Samvel Karapetyan: Armenian authorities` peace agenda is Azerbaijan`s  agenda

ArmInfo.The peace agenda  of the Armenian authorities is, in fact,  an agenda proposed by Azerbaijan to Armenia, as stated by Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party, at a press conference in Yerevan.

According to him, the peace agenda, as presented to the Armenian  people by the current Armenian authorities, is insufficient.  Karapetyan clarified that Armenia is a small state, and therefore the  country needs several guarantors of peace. "There aren't many  countries in the world that can act as guarantors.  There are three  superpowers: the United States, Russia, and China. And there are  states that have their own interests in our region.

Our guarantors will be those countries with whom we can reach an  agreement. And I'm sure there will be more than one. Meanwhile, the  peace agenda of the Armenian authorities is simply the agenda that  Azerbaijan is offering us. With similar 'success,' Prime Minister  Nikol Pashinyan brought 'peace' to Artsakh. We all know what  Pashinyan is actually offering us, and we can see that he is unable  to negotiate on equal footing. Therefore, we need a new individual  who is capable of doing so," Karapetyan noted

Speaking about the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity  (TRIPP), the party leader recalled that they have repeatedly stated  that they do not intend to abandon the agreements reached under the  current government and the agreements signed at the state level.  "However, we will try to improve these agreements and make them align  with our interests. As it stands today, it seems to me that everyone  is benefiting from them except Armenia," Karapetyan concluded.
