ArmInfo.  The court has returned the lawsuits of two defrocked clergymen, Stepan Asatrayan (formerly Father Ter Aram, spiritual pastor of Hovhannavank) and Aramayis Tahmazyan (formerly Father Tadeh,  spiritual pastor of Talin ), against the Mother See of Etchmiadzin. This information  was reported on the judicial information portal Datalex.

ArmInfo.  Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan sent congratulatory messages to Supreme Leader of the Islamic Revolution Seyyed Ali Khamenei, and President of the Islamic Republic of Iran Masoud Pezeshkian on the occasion of the 47th anniversary of the victory of the Islamic Revolution in Iran.

ArmInfo.  The post-Vance reality raises several new questions on Armenia's domestic political agenda, according to political scientist Vahe Hovhannisyan.  The political scientist first of all asks where the "pro-Western  Armenian society" is heading-toward Europe or the US? "In the modern  world, these are completely different poles, practically in a state  of cold war, with different short-term and strategic goals.

ArmInfo.  US Congressmen  have criticized US Vice President J.D. Vance for  deleting a post on his Twitter account (X) regarding a visit to the  Tsitsernakaberd Armenian Genocide Memorial.

ArmInfo. The Armenian National Committee of America (ANCA) called out Vice President JD Vance's deletion of his X (Twitter) post acknowledging the Armenian Genocide during his visit to Armenia's Genocide Memorial, calling it  a "disgraceful surrender to Turkish pressure" that raises serious  concerns among Armenian American voters heading into the 2026 midterm  elections and 2028 presidential race.

ArmInfo. The Armenian Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship will be held in the gymnasium of the Dilijan Sports Complex NGO on February 16-17.

ArmInfo.  Ruben Vardanyan, former state minister of Artsakh and philanthropist held hostage in Azerbaijan, delivered his final statement at the Baku court hearing. He has been held hostage in Baku since September 27, 2023, following Azerbaijan's violent seizure of Artsakh amid the inaction of the  international community.

ArmInfo. The persecution of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC) and its clergy by the Armenian authorities in recent months has undermined the country's national and ecclesiastical life. This was stated in a statement by the press office of the Mother See of Etchmiadzin on the occasion of the Feast  of the Holy Priests of Ghevondyan.

ArmInfo.  Damaging Russia's interests has not been, is not, and will not be on Armenia's agenda. It's out of the question. No one can force us into taking action against Russia, even if they try. There have been no attempts yet,  but no one can force us into taking action against Russia.  RA Prime  Minister Nikol Pashinyan made this statement in an interview with the  Public TV of Armenia.

ArmInfo.  Armenia has reached out to its partners in Russia, and politically, it appears to have received a positive response, but there is a very important practical issue.  Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated this in an  interview with Public Television, responding to a question about  whether Yerevan has an alternative solution if, for example, Russia  refuses to repair the railway sections related to TRIPP, or, "worse  yet, doesn't refuse but simply continues to drag its feet."

ArmInfo.  Armenian authorities are aiming to gradually reduce and ban the sale of disposable tableware and containers made of plastic or foam. At a  plenary session on February 11, the country's parliament will discuss  amendments to the Law "On Trade and Services" and a package of  related documents submitted by the RA government in the first  reading.

ArmInfo.  "The Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity Initiative (TRIPP) is an investment program being implemented in the Republic of Armenia. Azerbaijan doesn't have TRIPP, so I can't say what will happen in  Azerbaijan," Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan said on OTV,  responding to a question about "what will happen in the Azerbaijani  part."

ArmInfo. At its plenary session on February 11, the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia ratified the intergovernmental Armenian-Greek agreement "On the Prevention of the Theft of Cultural Property, Illegal  Archaeological Excavations, as well as the Illegal Import, Export,  and Transfer of Ownership of Cultural Objects, and the Approval of  Mechanisms for the Restitution (Return) of Cultural Property to Their  Countries of Origin."

ArmInfo.  Armenian Ambassador to Belgium Tigran Balayan briefed Belgian Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Labor, Economy, and Agriculture David  Clarinval on the achievements of bilateral relations and ongoing  projects.

ArmInfo.  Russia is fully interested in a sovereign, strong, and self-sufficient Armenia. This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin on the occasion of Diplomats' Day.

ArmInfo.  Please expect as few details as possible from me on this issue, but it was on the agenda and discussed, Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan stated in an interview with OTV, asking whether the issue of releasing Armenian prisoners from Baku prisons was raised at a meeting with US Vice President J.D. Vance in Yerevan, and whether Vance expressed a  willingness to discuss this issue in Azerbaijan.

ArmInfo. In practical terms, Yerevan received what it expected from US Vice President J.D. Vance's visit, but it should also be noted that the atmosphere of the visit was much more pleasant and positive than expected.
