ArmInfo.  Russia is closely monitoring developments surrounding the widely publicized US-Armenian project "Trump Road for International Peace and Prosperity" (TRIPP). This was stated by Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin in an interview with Rossiya-24, responding to a question about Armenia's membership in the organization.

ArmInfo. The Armenian Army will continue to have a spiritual service, but it will now report to the Moral and Psychological Support Department of the Armenian Armed  Forces (AF), as dual subordination is not permitted in the army.  Armenian Defense Minister Suren Papikyan stated this in a  conversation with journalists on February 6, commenting on the decree  abolishing the Spiritual Service of the Armenian Apostolic Church in  the Armed Forces and terminating the military chaplaincy program,  which has been in effect for two decades.

ArmInfo.  The head of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC), Archbishop Mikael Ajapakhian, has filed a complaint with the European Court of Human  Rights (ECHR) regarding a violation of his rights guaranteed by the  European Convention on Human Rights.

ArmInfo.  The Moscow Cinema hosted the Yerevan premiere of Mher Mkrtchyan's film "Golden Double," dedicated to Soviet football legend Nikita Simonyan, a seven- time  USSR champion: four times as a player and three times as a coach. It  was under his leadership that the Ararat football club achieved  historic success in 1973, winning the USSR Cup and the USSR  championship. This triumph forever etched the team into the history  of both Armenian and Soviet football.

ArmInfo.  Hayk Sargsyan, a member of the National Assembly of Armenia from the ruling Civil Contract faction, denies any involvement in corrupt deals.  Speaking  at a briefing on February 6, he commented on hints from Armenian  President Nikol Pashinyan about his possible involvement in a  corruption crime.

ArmInfo.  Defrocked clergymen Aramayis Tahmazian (formerly Father Tade Tahmazian, spiritual pastor of Talin - ed.) and Stepan Asatryan (formerly Father Ter Aram,  spiritual pastor of Hovhannavank - ed.) have filed a lawsuit against  the Armenian Apostolic Church (AAC).

ArmInfo.  Former Armenian Finance Minister and member of the Republican Party of Armenia (RPA) Council, Vardan Khachatryan, has passed away at the age of 66.
