ArmInfo.  Prosecutor General of the Republic of Armenia Anna Vardapetyan has submitted a  formal cassation appeal to the Court of Cassation, challenging a June  25, 2026 ruling by the Criminal Court of Appeal concerning Archbishop  Mikael Ajapahyan, primate of the Shirak Diocese of the Armenian  Apostolic Church, as reported by Ajapahyan's defense team. They also  stated that the prosecution is seeking to overturn the appellate  court's decision.
