ArmInfo. As part of confidence-building measures undertaken in the process of normalizing relations with Armenia, which has been ongoing since 2022, as of May  11, 2026, bureaucratic preparations for the commencement of direct  trade between our country and Armenia have been completed. Turkish  Foreign Ministry Spokesperson Oncu Keceli wrote this on his Twitter  account (X).

ArmInfo. The Trump administration's dealmaking blitz with Belarus has secured the release of hundreds of detainees. By trading targeted sanctions  relief for the release of political prisoners in Belarus, the White  House has helped free more than five hundred people from unjust  captivity. A similar deal with Azerbaijan in the South Caucasus would  produce major rewards, with much less risk, Atlantic Council experts  believe.

According to a statement released by the Prosecutor's Office in response to an inquiry from Public Television, in January 2025, the Prosecutor  General's Office of Armenia  officially requested the extradition of  Nver Tsarukyan, the son of "Prosperous Armenia" party leader Gagik  Tsarukyan, from Belarus to face criminal charges.

The legal team representing Samvel Karapetyan, the "Strong Armenia" bloc's candidate for Prime Minister, will formally seek the recusal of Judge Vahe  Dolmazyan at the next hearing of the Anti-Corruption Court. Defense  attorney Aram Vardevanyan announced the move to reporters on May 12,  citing a pattern of judicial decisions that the defense claims  demonstrates bias and a violation of the defendant's fundamental  rights.
