ArmInfo. "Enlightened Armenia" party leader Edmon Marukyan and political observer Karpis Pashoyan announced their joint participation in the parliamentary elections in Armenia scheduled for June 7, 2026.
As Pashoyan wrote on his Facebook page, over the past six months they have been trying their best to consolidate the opposition and participate in the elections as a united front, as they viewed this move as the only and most effective way to remove Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan from power. "However, nothing worked out. Our colleagues chose a different path, and we decided to follow our own. Therefore, we decided to participate in the elections with our own agenda, our modest participation, but with very big ideas," Pashoyan explained.
According to him, they do not intend to engage in a fanatical and cheap race between small forces for the post of Prime Minister of Armenia, but intend to speak about the mortal threats facing the country, showing ways to overcome them. "We are ready for the fight and any responsibility; we are determined to fight this battle and will go to the end. Get ready," the observer concluded.
