


ArmInfo. Armenian Minister of Labor and Social Affairs Arsen Torosyan received the Ambassador of the Islamic Republic of Iran (IRI) to Armenia, Khalil Shirgholami.
During the meeting, the parties discussed prospects for developing cooperation in labor and social protection, particularly focusing on labor migration, human potential and skills development, and the possibility of implementing joint retraining and employment promotion programs. The Ambassador noted that job growth in Armenia in recent years has been truly impressive. The interlocutors highlighted the significance of cooperation between the Armenian Ministry of Labor and Social Affairs and relevant Iranian agencies, expressing their readiness work together to implement joint programs.
Minister Torosyan emphasized that developing friendly relations with Iran based on mutual trust is one of the foreign policy priorities of the Armenian government. He expressed condolences over the loss of life as a result of military operations in Iran. The Minister noted that Armenia is deeply concerned about the situation in the region, emphasizing that peace and stability are vital for the entire region. In turn, Ambassador Shirgholami thanked the government and people of Armenia for their support in the current situation.
