ArmInfo. The Armenian National Congress (ANC) has never put the issue of recognizing the Armenian Genocide on the state policy agenda, but it has also never denied the past and memory of the Armenian people. Levon Zurbayan, the ANC candidate for Prime Minister of Armenia and the first president of Armenia, Levon Ter-Petrosyan, wrote this on his Facebook page.
"That's why the Armenian Genocide Museum was built in 1995 and an international scientific conference dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the tragedy was held, with the participation of world-renowned genocide scholars. We have not and will not turn the Armenian Genocide into a pawn in a political game that harms the interests of our state, but we will not allow anyone to erase our memory and identity," Zurabyan noted.
It was also noted that the Armenian National Congress will participate in events dedicated to the memory of the victims of the Armenian Genocide on April 24 with the "Memory Cannot Be Erased" march. The march will begin at 11:00 AM from the SAS supermarket near the Kyiv Bridge. "On April 24 at 11:00 AM, let's go together to the Armenian Genocide Memorial Complex," the ANC urged.
