ArmInfo. The Central Committee of the Armenian Revolutionary Federation (ARF) of Canada urges to participate in the Genocide commemoration events on April 24 to reaffirm collective resolve.
According to the ARF press service, the Committee emphasized that today the remembrance is not only about the past. " Even today, our people continue to face injustice and violence, as seen in the forced displacement of the Armenians of Artsakh. This heinous crime is a stark reminder that our struggle is not over, and that silence only enables the repetition of such injustices.
As a community, we have a responsibility to raise our voices stronger and more united than ever in defence of our national rights. Our strength lies in our unity, and the memory of our martyrs calls on us not only to remember, but also to demand and to act. With this commitment, we urge you to participate in the Genocide commemorative events in your cities and to reaffirm our collective resolve. Justice is demanded, not awaited. We remember, we demand, and we continue the struggle," the ARF concluded.
It should be noted that on April 23, in Yerevan, ahead of the 111th anniversary of the Armenian Genocide in the Ottoman Empire, the ARF Youth Wing will hold its traditional torchlight procession. The procession will begin at 8:00 PM on April 23 from Republic Square.
