On April 26, the Republic of Armenia officially registered ownership of approximately 20.6 hectares of real estate in the village of Kanakeravan, Nor- Hachn enlarged community, in the Kotayk region of the republic. The property's average market value is estimated at 323,800,000 drams (approximately $871,000), as noted in a statement issued by the RA Prosecutor General's Office.
The office recalled that the Prosecutor General's Office had finalized a settlement agreement in a case involving confiscation of illegally obtained property, approved by a court decision on March 5, 2026.
On August 29, 2023, the supervisory authority filed a claim with the Anti-Corruption Court to confiscate illegally acquired property by Manuk Hakobyan, an assistant to Karapet Guloyan, the former head of the Abovyan community in the Kotayk region (son-in-law of the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, oligarch Gagik Tsarukyan - ed.), and his wife. A civil case seeking the confiscation of other property mentioned in the claim is currently pending.
