Samvel Karapetyan: Under the current regime, patriotic people are  becoming targets

ArmInfo. Under the current authorities, patriotic people are becoming targets, as stated by Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party. He was  commenting on the arrest of Artur Avanesyan, the legendary Artsakh  intelligence officer, holder of the Second Degree Combat Cross Order,  and head of the Strong Armenia security team, during an interview for  the "5 Questions" series.

"We must be prepared, because these authorities are carrying out  orders from outside, specifically, the demands of Aliyev (the  President of Azerbaijan)," he emphasized.

Karapetyan noted that, at the behest of the Azerbaijani side, the  current government is now fulfilling everything that Aliyev and  Azerbaijan failed to do for 30 years. "But after our victory, heroes  will become heroes again," the leader of Strong Armenia promised.

When asked why Armenia is a poor country, Karapetyan that Armenia is  "poor" because the government suffers from a "poverty of  consciousness." "Because they can only govern poor people," the party  leader said. . In this regard, he mentioned the authorities' recent  decision to increase pensions by 10,000 drams, which allows them to  dictate their narratives.

Recall, the day before,  lawyer Aram Vardevanyan announced that Artur  Avanesyan had been arrested for two months by a ruling of the  Anti-Corruption Court.
