ArmInfo. The Prosperous Armenia Party, led by its leader, Gagik Tsarukyan, continues its election campaign. Today, May 2, party representatives visited the villages of Karchaghbyur, Akunk, and Geghamasar in the Gegharkunik region of the republic.
Meeting with local residents, Tsarukyan noted that border communities have been the focus of his constant attention for many years, as it is the working people who build the country, create wealth, and protect the border. "That's why I always emphasize: we must love our homeland not with words, but with actions, recognizing its true value. Our priority is to think about people and create conditions so they can work and live with dignity," said the leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party.
He sharply criticized the policies of the current authorities. According to him, prisons are full, and investigators, who are supposed to handle cases, have retrained as lawyers. Moreover, judges have been handling the same case for two or more years. Instead of easing the situation and declaring amnesty, the authorities are only making it worse, imprisoning people at every step they take that is unfavorable. "It's shameful. The whole country is suffering because of you. Should everyone really suffer so you can sit in a comfortable chair?" Tsarukyan remarked.
As a reminder, Armenia will hold its next parliamentary elections on June 7, with 19 political forces - 17 parties and two blocs - participating.
