Two detained in Vedi in child abuse case 

ArmInfo. Two individuals have been detained in Vedi for child molestation, Anush Shahverdyan, head of the Information and Public Relations Department of the Investigative Committee of Armenia, told ArmInfo.

She also reported that a petition has been filed with the court to  pretrial detention for these individuals.  As a reminder, journalist  Suzi Badoyan reported the egregious incident in Vedi. She reported  that two men, 58-year-old Artur Yeremyan and 65-year-old David  Aynazyan, both residents of Vedi, are accused of sexually assaulting  children. Lawyers Lusine Martirosyan and Varduhi Elbakyan have taken  on the defense of the victims in this high-profile case. On May 6,  lawyer Varduhi Elbakyan announced that three individuals are involved  in the Vedi child abuse case. She stated that despite the minors'  testimony and the forensic examination results, the defendants remain  witnesses. All three individuals, the lawyer noted, deny their guilt.  However, according to available information, Aynazyan was  hospitalized after an attempted poisoning.
