President of Armenia sends  a message on  the launch of the election  campaign 

ArmInfo. Armenian President Vahagn Khachaturyan has issued a formal message on the launch of the  election campaign in the country for the upcoming parliamentary elections on June 7.

Addressing representatives of political forces, party  and alliance  leaders, candidates, supporters, and ideological allies, Khachaturyan  stated that the election campaign for the next electoral process is  beginning – a stage of particular political and value significance  for every democratic state.  President Khachaturyan highlighted that  elections are more than a constitutional mechanism; they are a  benchmark for societal progress. He noted that the electoral culture  established since 2018 has successfully restored public trust in the  power of the vote. "Democracy is only as viable as the society's  trust in its own voice," Khachaturyan noted. "The elections held  since 2018 have significantly strengthened population trust,  affirming a new reality of transparency and legitimacy. This is a  vital achievement that requires constant protection."

The President urged all participants to engage in a "healthy and  dignified" debate, warning against the toxic rhetoric that often  accompanies intense political competition. "Public speeches,  especially during political battles, shape the public atmosphere and  influence the mood, trust, and solidarity of citizens. Therefore, it  is crucial that all political forces, candidates, and their  supporters participating in the elections be guided by a high level  of political ethics, public responsibility, and statesmanship.   Political competition may be fierce, but it must never surrender to  the loss of civility," the President remarked. "The strength of  democracy lies not only in the freedom of speech but in the ability  to carry that freedom with dignity," he noted.

Khachaturyan sent a clear directive to all government agencies, local  self-government bodies, and law enforcement. He emphasized their  obligation to act strictly according to the Constitution, ensuring  equal conditions for all parties and maintaining law and order  throughout the process.  "I am convinced that, in an environment of  political maturity, mutual public respect, and civic responsibility,  we can hold elections that will not only express the free will of the  people but also reinvigorate our democratic institutions, state  stability, and national solidarity.  I wish for this electoral  process to become an example of dignified political competition,  public trust, and a reaffirmation of democratic values for the sake  of a strong, legitimate, and future-oriented Republic of Armenia," he  concluded.
