


ArmInfo. The Armenian Ambassador to Italy, Vladimir Karapetyan, paid a working visit to Naples on May 11-12, 2026. The visit included high-level discussions with city leadership, local government officials, and representatives from the regional, educational, innovation, and cultural sectors.
According to the press service of the Armenian Embassy in Italy, during his visit, Karapetyan held meetings with the Mayor of Naples, Professor Gaetano Manfredi; the President of the City Council, Dr. Vincenza Amato; the Rector of L'Orientale University, Professor Roberto Tottoli; the Vice President of the Standing Committee of the Region, Dr. Francesca Amirante; and others. The discussions centered on diversifying cooperation between Armenia and Naples. Key areas of focus included education and science, innovation, and the implementation of "smart city" solutions. Both sides also discussed ways for deepening economic ties and urban development strategies.
It was noted that the meetings provided an opportunity to strengthen bilateral institutional ties, identify new areas of educational and cultural exchange, and discuss opportunities for expanding practical cooperation between Armenia and Naples. During the visit, a mutual interest in developing Armenian-Italian ties at the local and regional levels was emphasized.
