


ArmInfo.A delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE) met with Vahagn Hovakimyan, Chairman of the Central Electoral Commission (CEC) of Armenia, to assess the country's preparations for the parliamentary elections.
As reported to ArmInfo by the CEC press service, the discussions focused on the logistical preparations for the vote, the legislative framework governing the campaign, and broader electoral regulations. The delegation, led by Damien Cottier (Switzerland), includes representatives from Italy, Spain, Germany, and Sweden. The working group also features members of the PACE Election Department and Boriana Aberg, the co-rapporteur of the PACE Monitoring Committee for Armenia. The Central Election Commission also received Maxime Longange, head of the Council of Europe Office in Yerevan.
Recall, parliamentary elections in Armenia are scheduled for June 7, 2026.
