ArmInfo.Tatevik Hayrapetyan, an expert on Azerbaijani studies, has reported harassment and personal threats from an unknown individual. In a public statement on her Facebook page, she formally appeals to the National Security Service, the Ministry of Internal Affairs, and the Prosecutor General's Office of the Republic of Armenia.
Hayrapetyan stated that the harassment has been ongoing for an extended period but intensifies following her public interviews and media appearances. She said the attacks began on Facebook and have recently continued offline.
According to Hayrapetyan, the individual frequently appears in her yard, even in the evenings, texts her, tries to follow her, and makes erratic physical movements, to provoke fear and intimidation.
Hayrapetyan emphasized that the individual is exerting severe psychological pressure on her and her family, accompanied by threats of physical violence. She attached a video and several screenshots of his posts and comments, which he quickly deletes a few hours after posting, effectively covering his tracks.
The expert believes that such harassment is clearly related to her public and social activities. "It's no secret that I actively criticize the current government and its policies in the public sphere, and I also highlight threats emanating from Azerbaijan and expose programs developed at the state level in Azerbaijan to inform our society. I am confident that, using his license plate number and appearance, you will be able to quickly identify this individual and find out why and under what circumstances he began harassing and threatening me—first on social media, and now in real life—physically and psychologically," she said.
