


ArmInfo.The Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sport of Armenia (MESCS) has issued a statement regarding reports of teachers, staff, and students being involved in pre-election campaigning during working and school hours. The Ministry also addressed violations of the ban on campaigning within educational institutions.
According to the Ministry, such an incident was recorded on May 13 in Aparan, where a number of teachers and students from educational institutions in the villages of Aragats and Kuchak participated in a political campaign event during working hours.
The Ministry noted that a separate investigation will be initiated to clarify all circumstances of the incident and, in coordination with the authorized bodies, to apply the legal consequences prescribed by law. All incoming reports are also being forwarded by the Ministry to law enforcement agencies for verification in accordance with established procedures.
"Schools must remain outside of political processes, ensuring an impartial and neutral educational environment. Such cases are under strict monitoring, and any such manifestation will result in an appropriate response and legal consequences," the MESCS statement reads.
