ArmInfo. The Armenian government will allocate approximately 60 million drams for humanitarian aid to Lebanon, where fighting continues. The decision to provide assistance was made at a Cabinet meeting on May 14.
As noted in the justification for the draft decision, the funds will be allocated from the government's Reserve Fund. According to the document, 34 million drams will be allocated to the Ministry of Economy for the purchase of food and sanitary and hygienic goods, while the Ministry of Health will receive an additional 26 million drams for the purchase of medicines. The list of products to be supplied was agreed upon in advance with the Armenian Ministry of Foreign Affairs.
The justification notes that the humanitarian crisis in Lebanon has led to a sharp increase in the population's need for food, essential goods, and medicines. Due to the urgency of the situation, procurement is planned to be carried out using the "single-party procurement" procedure.
