Oppositionist: Monstrous terror against Armenian people sponsored by  number of Western actors 

ArmInfo.  The hysterical behavior of the authorities, who accuse their rivals of being agents, stage false terrorist scenarios, and attribute them to the opposition, pursues one goal: to justify illegal arrests and the use of force.  This was written on his Facebook page by Tigran Abrahamyan, a member  of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the  opposition "I Have the Honor" faction.

According to him, in this situation, the authorities may even resort  to canceling the elections. "If a certain scenario unfolds, under  false pretenses of a 'terrorist threat,' they could cancel the  elections or their results altogether. This monstrous process of  terror against its own people is being sponsored by a number of  Western actors whose goal is not democratic elections and the  development of the Republic of Armenia, but the exploitation of our  country for their own geopolitical ends," the NA member noted.

As a reminder, on May 18, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan showed  footage of masked men speaking "with a Karabakh accent" and  threatening to kill him. Pashinyan called them cowards and promised  to "take off their masks himself." Several political forces in the  country admitted to staging the video. The day before, the prime  minister accused Samvel Karapetyan, the leader of the Strong Armenia  party, of allegedly being an agent of the Russian FSB.

It should be noted that Armenia will hold its next parliamentary  elections on June 7, in which 19 political forces - 17 parties and  two blocs - have registered to participate.
