ArmInfo. Judging by his statements, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's situation is indeed very precarious; it's not what it used to be. Gagik Tsarukyan, leader of the Prosperous Armenia Party, told reporters this during the election campaign on May 20, commenting on the latest round of accusations Pashinyan has leveled against opposition leaders.
According to Tsarukyan, the prime minister knows full well that the end of his rule is very near. "For eight years, all he's done is lie and deceive. I remember his promises, his words about how he came not to give up Karabakh, but to bring order to the situation, to remove a thorn from the people's finger. He used to say that the people are not a source of punishment, but today he's doing nothing but turning citizens into a source of punishment," the politician said, recalling the prime minister's provocative statements on Karabakh, which triggered the military action that led to defeat and disgrace.
He added that Pashinyan's behavior already shows everyone he's not the same. He knows the end is near, he has nothing to say, he can do nothing, he doesn't even have a program. "Today he spoke about the cement plant, and I say I won't trade my homeland for my property. We legally purchased this enterprise a long time ago. 25 years have passed since then, and are they just remembering this? All this speaks to one thing: the panic reigning within the ruling group, but it's impossible to keep the people in this state forever. Today, the main threats to Armenia are Aliyev and Pashinyan, and this situation must be put to an end," the politician and businessman noted.
Responding to a question about the prime minister's accusations against Gagik Tsarukyan's son-in-law, Karapet Guloyan, he noted that Karapet Guloyan's father, Vlad Guloyan, was a prominent businessman and a millionaire, having earned his fortune throughout his life. It was with this money that they acquired what the authorities are talking about today.
