ArmInfo.Today, Armenia faces a serious security problem. This was stated by Gohar Meloyan, a representative of the Strong Armenia party, co-founder of the International Center for the Development of Parliamentarism, and constitutional law expert.
According to her, much is being said about peace, yet, despite the peace agreement signed, Armenia's sovereign territory has been violated. "The territorial integrity of our sovereign state has been violated. Units of the Azerbaijani armed forces are on combat duty in four regions of the country. Despite the signed documents, Azerbaijani troops have not withdrawn from these territories. Moreover, the issue of enclaves remains 'up in the air,'" Gohar Meloyan noted.
In this regard, Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the Strong Armenia party and candidate for Prime Minister of the Republic of Armenia, called the situation "concerning." He reiterated the need to adopt legislation under the general title "the law against Safarov," which would prevent the authorities' monstrous plans.
