The three-day events will take place at various archaeological sites, museum reserves, museums, and other cultural institutions in Armenia. The events are intended for all ages and anyone interested in archaeology.
Armenia has been participating in the European Archaeology Days since 2022. The event offers the public the opportunity to learn about archaeology, visit excavation sites, and archaeological research centers. Meetings with archaeologists and restorers of archaeological finds are organized, and several educational and informative events (excavations, exhibitions, courses, hikes, etc.) are also held.
Since 2010, the French Ministry of Culture has entrusted the coordination and promotion of the European Archaeology Days events to the National Institute for Preventive Archaeological Research.
