ArmInfo. Aramais Kamalov, Chairman of the Diocesan Council of the Russian and New Nakhichevan Diocese of the Armenian Apostolic Church, President of the Heritage and Progress Foundation, and Academician of the Russian Academy of Sciences, has urged Armenians who care about Armenia's fate to participate in the upcoming parliamentary elections in June.
In his statement, Kamalov noted that throughout centuries of history, Armenians have lived, worked, raised their children in Russia, serving it faithfully and truly and honoring the brotherly relations between the two nations.
"Today, the time has come for all of us to think about the fate of our homeland—Armenia! In these elections to the National Assembly, the very future of Armenia is at stake—the preservation of our ancient history, statehood, faith, and national identity. Today, the future of our Fatherland, the future of our children and grandchildren, our honor, and our national dignity depend on the firm stance of each individual.
I appeal to everyone who is not indifferent to the fate of Armenia to fulfill their civic duty and take an active part in the upcoming fateful elections in Armenia. Cast your vote according to your conscience, rather than short-term economic interests, for the future of Armenia and the future of Russian-Armenian relations! Do not think that your vote does not matter; it is the voice of each and every one of you that will be decisive in choosing the future path of development for our Armenia," Kamalov stated.
