


ArmInfo. Russian Ambassador to Armenia Sergey Kopyrkin participated in the award ceremony for the winners of the Republican Student Olympiad in the Russian language at the Bryusov State University in Yerevan, annually organized by the Rossotrudnichestvo office in Armenia.
According to the press service of the Russian Embassy in Armenia, in his welcoming address, the head of the Russian diplomatic mission congratulated the winners and participants of the Olympiad, emphasizing the high demand for the Russian language in the CIS and internationally: "For Armenian youth, knowledge of Russian is a significant competitive advantage. In Armenia, the Russian language is valued and loved, and it is actively used as a tool for interethnic and international communication."
This year, over 70 students from 12 universities across the country participated in the Olympiad, which was timed to coincide with the 110th anniversary of the publication of the anthology "Poetry of Armenia from Ancient Times to the Present Day," edited by the prominent Russian poet and translator Valery Bryusov.
