ArmInfo.Today, the international exhibition and fair «Türkmentextile Expo - 2026» opened at the Chamber of commerce and industry of the capital. This large-scale exhibition provides an opportunity to showcase the potential and achievements in this important sector of the national economy, present new products, and build mutually beneficial business ties with foreign partners.
This morning, the opening ceremony of the international exhibition-fair took place on the square in front of the Chamber of commerce and industry of Turkmenistan. The Chairman of the Mejlis, members of the Government, heads and representatives of ministries and departments, diplomatic missions and international organisations accredited in our country, public organisations, and the media took part in it.
The participants of the celebration listened with deep attention to the welcoming address of President Serdar Berdimuhamedov to the participants of the international exhibition and fair «Turkmentextile Expo - 2026».
As noted in the message, in order to develop the textile industry, the main focus is currently on combining national heritage, noble traditions and customs, as well as the artistic principles of the people with modern innovative technologies. This concept allows us to preserve the national identity of textile products, more deeply reveal their artistic value, and increase competitiveness in international markets. The head of state expressed confidence that the successful holding of the international exhibition and fair «Turkmentextile Expo - 2026» will make a significant contribution to the further development of the domestic textile industry and the strengthening of international cooperation.
Then the participants got acquainted with the exhibits presented at the exhibition and fair. About 110 exhibitors are taking part in the show. These include enterprises of the Ministry of textile industry, members of the Union of industrialists and entrepreneurs working in this sector, as well as foreign companies – manufacturers and suppliers of specialised equipment, dyes and chemicals for the textile industry, raw materials, packaging and production materials.
The international exhibition and fair «Türkmentextile Expo - 2026» will conclude on the 6th of June.
