ArmInfo. The "Strong Armenia" party has introduced an initiative to establish a Poverty Alleviation Fund, as announced by Narek Karapetyan, a member of the party's political council, in a video published on his Facebook page.
According to Karapetyan, the fund will cover water and electricity expenses for low-income families. "Not a single family in Armenia will have to pay for electricity and water. These costs will be covered by the Poverty Alleviation Fund, which will be financed by our partners and representatives of the Armenian Diaspora. With this step, we will permanently eradicate poverty in Armenia. People will no longer be forced to spend their last remaining funds on these utilities," the political council member stated.
In turn, Samvel Karapetyan, the leader of the "Strong Armenia" bloc, stated that he guarantees the implementation of this program, as well as all other economic initiatives presented by their political force in recent months. Furthermore, he expressed his gratitude to the Armenian people for their support throughout this period, specifically acknowledging the tens of thousands of citizens who gathered for the political force's rally on June 3 at Republic Square to campaign for the removal of the current administration. "I appeal to our people: give us five minutes of your time and come to the polling stations, and we will give you a prosperous life and a strong Armenia. You deserve a change," Karapetyan concluded.
