According to the source, a total of 74 prisoners participated in the elections. The votes were distributed as follows: "Strong Armenia" received 30 votes (40.54%), the "Armenia" bloc received 18 votes (24.32%), the "Civil Contract" party received 17 votes (22.97%), the "Prosperous Armenia" party received 5 votes (6.76%), and the National Democratic Pole (NDP) party received 4 votes (5.41%). Earlier, the Armenian Ministry of Justice reported that just over 400 prisoners under house arrest expressed their desire to vote. No data on the number of eligible voters in prisons was released.
As a reminder, regular parliamentary elections were held in Armenia on June 7. 2,500 polling stations opened across the country at 8:00 AM local time. Most were equipped with surveillance cameras. Voting concluded at 8:00 PM local time, and polling stations across the country closed. Voter turnout in the regular parliamentary elections as of 5:00 PM was 48.92%. By that time, 1,224,957 citizens had voted in the elections out of a total of 2,505,102 eligible voters.
Eighteen political forces - two blocs and 16 parties - participated in the elections. The favorites include current Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan's Civil Contract party, businessman Samvel Karapetyan's Strong Armenia bloc, second president Robert Kocharyan's Armenia bloc, and businessman Gagik Tsarukyan's Prosperous Armenia party. From early morning, observers and journalists reported numerous violations during the voting process.
