ArmInfo.Commenting on the recently concluded parliamentary elections in Armenia, Speaker of the Georgian Parliament Shalva Papuashvili stated that official Tbilisi wishes success to Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan and his ruling party.
Papuashvili emphasized that the incumbent prime minister's campaign platform was centered squarely on achieving peace, an outcome that directly safeguards stability for the entire South Caucasus region. "The Prime Minister [of Georgia] congratulated him yesterday on the successful conduct of the elections," Papuashvili told reporters. "For Georgia, the emerging dynamics in the region are of vital importance— specifically, the path toward a peace agreement between Azerbaijan and Armenia, the opening of borders, and the ongoing bilateral dialogue. Peace and stability are crucial for us, yet Georgia alone cannot guarantee them. It is essential that every country in the region strives toward this common goal."
He added that Pashinyan's core pledge to secure lasting stability for Armenia ultimately translates into broader regional prosperity. "In turn, this will contribute to the economic well-being and growth of every nation in our shared region," Papuashvili concluded.
