Team Telecom Armenia to provide communications and internet  infrastructure for Firebird AI megaproject

ArmInfo.Team Telecom Armenia will provide communications and internet infrastructure for the Firebird artificial intelligence megaproject through a  next-generation fiber optic backbone network.

According to the company's press service, the Firebird data center,  whose construction and equipment are already in the final stages,  will become the largest data center for artificial intelligence (AI)  in the region.  Efficient and uninterrupted operation of an  infrastructure of this scale is impossible without highly reliable  and high-performance communications systems.

For the project, Team Telecom Armenia is providing a communications  channel with a throughput of up to 1 Tbps and significant potential  for further expansion as demand grows. The company's next-generation  fiber-optic network enables servicing the most demanding AI and  high-performance computing infrastructures, guaranteeing ultra-fast  data transfer and highly reliable international communication  channels. Team Group companies Team Construct, Team Systems, and Team  Energy are also participating in the construction of the AI  megacenter.

"Thanks to years of consistent investment, Team Telecom Armenia has  become a unique regional communications hub. Today, we have four  diversified communication channels outside Armenia, fully compliant  with international data center construction standards. Team's  infrastructure is becoming the digital backbone of the megaproject,  connecting the AI factory being established in Armenia with the  global digital ecosystem and ensuring fast, secure, and uninterrupted  data transfer," said Aram Barseghyan, Deputy General Director of Team  Telecom Armenia, during the first introductory visit to the AI  center.  During the first phase of the project, the data center will  utilize over 6,000 NVIDIA Blackwell GPUs, providing computing power  for AI tasks at up to 110.6 exaflops. Subsequent development phases  envision multiple expansion of the infrastructure, for which the  availability of a suitable, modern telecommunications environment  will be crucial.
