ArmInfo.More arrests are expected soon in connection with crimes committed during elections, as stated by Artur Nahapetyan, Chairman of the Anti-Corruption Committee of Armenia, to reporters on June 10.
According to him, the agency has already uncovered more than 100 crimes. "I can't say we have a 100% election crime detection rate, but I can say that the Anti-Corruption Committee has been effective. If you look at the number of people working on the Committee, you'll see that the agency has done truly extensive work. Currently, we have 72 investigators and 78 operatives. In other words, with these resources, the Committee has carried out over 100 exposures and investigated approximately 115 criminal cases, and this number will increase again in the near future," Nahapetyan said.
The head of the Investigative Committee also emphasized that there are cases uncovered by the operative body that have not yet been made public, but searches, arrests, and prosecutions for them will be carried out in the near future.
