ArmInfo. A deputy of the National Assembly of the Republic of Armenia from the ruling Civil Contract party, Vaagn Aleksanyan, has put forward his candidacy for the post of vice-speaker of the National Assembly. He told journalists about this on June 25.
"I want to announce that I have indeed put forward my candidacy for vice-speaker of the NA," the deputy said, adding that he does not yet know whether anyone else from the party has submitted their candidacies. He noted that the self-nomination took place today via an electronic message.
The parliamentarian's candidacy must go through the same procedure as the speaker's candidacy, that is, through discussions and a secret ballot.
