


ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan will visit Iran to participate in the farewell ceremony for the late Iranian leader Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, the WANA website reports.
The ceremony will reportedly be attended by Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev, former Turkmen President Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov, Georgian President Mikheil Kavelashvili, and leaders of several other countries.
The Armenian side has not yet commented on these reports. According to the official schedule, the public farewell ceremony will begin at 6:00 a.m. on July 4 at Tehran's Imam Khomeini Mosalla and continue until 8:00 p.m. on July 5. Funeral prayers will be held on the morning of July 5. Following the ceremonies in Tehran, Qom, and Iraq, the late leader will be laid to rest in Mashhad on Thursday, July 9.
Ayatollah Ali Khamenei died on February 28 of this year at the age of 86 as a result of US-Israeli aggression against Iran. US-Israeli air forces launched missile strikes on his residence.
