The Armenian Human Rights Defender, Anahit Manasyan, briefed the delegation led by Estonian Prosecutor General Astrid Asi, who arrived in Yerevan on a working visit, on the department's priorities, emphasizing the need to implement effective mechanisms to combat hate speech and all forms of discrimination. This was reported by the press service of the Armenian Ombudsman's Office.
For her part, Astrid Asi confirmed Tallinn's readiness to continuously exchange professional experience to modernize Armenia's human rights institutions.
The key topics of the meeting were the institutional effectiveness of the justice system, expanding guarantees for the protection of citizens' rights, and improving legal procedures in line with international standards. It should be noted that representatives of the Estonian Prosecutor's Office arrived in Yerevan to participate in the Armenian Platform for the European Dialogue of Prosecutors (APEPD).
