ArmInfo. By decision of the Council of CIS Heads of Government, Kapan has been recognized as the CIS Youth Capital 2026, and the city will host program events from July 23 to 25.
According to the press service of the Ministry of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia, the official opening of the program will be a concert by the Pop and Symphony Orchestra of the Public Radio of Armenia. The gala event will take place today at 7:00 PM at the Kapan Cultural Center. Following the concert, a disco will be held in Kapan's central square. Admission to the events is free.
A postage stamp featuring the symbol of the CIS Youth Capital 2026 will be issued, and a number of cultural and youth events will also be held. Members of CIS delegations and representatives of youth organizations who have arrived in Kapan to participate in the "CIS Youth Capital" program events will participate in the events of the "Kapan - CIS Youth Capital 2026" program.
The next meeting of the CIS Youth Affairs Council, the CIS International Youth Forum, will be chaired by Artur Martirosyan, Deputy Minister of Education, Science, Culture, and Sports of Armenia.
