Government receives employees of sealed enterprises owned by Gagik  Tsarukyan

ArmInfo. Another protest is taking place outside the government building by employees of the enterprises of owned by  Gagik Tsarukyan, businessman and leader of  the Prosperous Armenia Party,  which were sealed in early July.

The demand remains the same: restore operations and ensure the labor  rights of thousands of citizens, given the grave consequences of the  current situation, which is affecting not only the socioeconomic  situation of people but also sports, the economy, including the  reputation of Armenian brands, international cooperation, and  agriculture, considering the thousands of contracts with Armenian  winegrowers. Hamlet Nazaryan, Head of the Department for Discussion,  Monitoring, and Evaluation of Citizen Feedback at the Office of the  Prime Minister of Armenia, received protesters and listened to their  complaints and demands for the reopening of businesses, payment of  wages, and freezing of loan obligations, given that people are  deprived of income to repay loans. He did not provide a specific  timeline, according to employees, but promised that the issue would  be raised with senior management.

"I told him: if your superiors are Armenian, then our businesses will  reopen on Monday," noted an employee of Olympavan, a sports training  center. The head of Euromotors believes that even this meeting will  yield no results, as the actions against Tsarukyan are politically  motivated. "It's hard to believe that 70 companies can be closed in a  single day and 7,000 to 10,000 people can be left without income," he  said, noting that such a move would deal a blow to Armenia's  investment climate. At the same time, the company's CEO stated that  Europe is turning a blind eye to all human rights violations  occurring in Armenia for political reasons.

The protesters declared that if no solution is found following the  meeting, they will continue to hold protests to defend their right to  work. "Our leader has done so much for Armenia, the Armenian people,  and all of us, that today we have no moral right not to support Mr.  Tsarukyan," they noted.

Note, the protesting employees decided to remain outside the  government building to await a decision from the authorities.
