David Ghazinyan:  Constant accusations against opposition  reflect  authorities  fear

ArmInfo.The constant accusations brought against opposition representatives are a manifestation of the authorities' fear. This was stated on July 31 by  Davit Ghazinyan, a member of the "Strong Armenia" party and former  General Director of Electric Networks of Armenia CJSC, while speaking  to journalists. He was commenting on the search conducted at Narek  Karapetyan's house.

According to Ghazinyan, charges had previously been brought against  Narek Karapetyan, and a bail of 1 billion drams was chosen as a  preventive measure. Kazinyan emphasized that the current search at  the politician's home is already the third of its kind.

Answering a question about the possible submission of a motion to  parliament by the Prosecutor General to detain Narek Karapetyan,  Ghazinyan noted that he would not advise doing so. In his opinion,  these cases, including Karapetyan's, will become a "laughingstock" if  publicly debated in the National Assembly, since the sessions will  involve questions and answers as well as speeches by the "accused."
