Armenia and the US reaffirm readiness to enhance cooperation against  financial crimes

ArmInfo. On July 31, RA Deputy Minister of Justice Gevorg Kocharyan received a delegation led by Zachary Barter, Director of the Office of International Narcotics and Law Enforcement at the US Embassy in Armenia.

 According to the press service of the Ministry of Justice, According  to the Ministry of Justice, the discussions focused on:

Combating illicit financial flows: Joint efforts in countering money  laundering and the financing of terrorism.

Institutional reforms: Ongoing legislative and systemic  transformations underway in Armenia within these sectors.

Capacity building: Expanding opportunities to strengthen legal and  institutional frameworks.

Both parties concluded the meeting by reaffirming their mutual  commitment to ongoing collaboration aimed at increasing the overall  efficiency of the fight against financial crimes.
