Nikol Pashinyan introduces new minister to Ministry of High-Tech  Industry staff 

ArmInfo.  On August 4, RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan introduced newly appointed minister David  Tadevosyan to the staff of the Ministry of High-Tech Industry.

According to the government press service, the prime minister thanked  Mkhitar Hayrapetyan for his work as Minister of High-Tech Industry  and noted that the technology sector in Armenia has been developing  for a long time. "But I must also say that the events of the last  year are particularly significant for Armenia, because we now have  the opportunity to work more fully with the latest technologies and  artificial intelligence. Of course, a great deal of work has been  done, and Armenia now has an infrastructure that seemed difficult to  implement just a few years ago," the prime minister said. The head of  state mentioned the Yerevan State University supercomputer center,  the ELEVATE AI artificial intelligence factory, and the Firebird  artificial intelligence factory, which the company will launch in the  coming days. 

According to Nikol Pashinyan, keeping pace with technology is one of  the government's most important tasks. "But in this regard, we must  also be attentive and aware of the global debate surrounding  technology, guided by the logic that we must do everything possible  to ensure that the introduction of technology does not reduce  people's opportunities to work and earn money, but, on the contrary,  makes it as easy and effective as possible," the prime minister said,  adding that the executive branch has a rather busy technology agenda. 

"Here, of course, there are very serious and long-term issues that  require management, planning, and decision-making, but this is the  upcoming work agenda, which we will consider in the context of the  discussion and adoption of the draft government program," Nikol  Pashinyan said. Mkhitar Hayrapetyan thanked the Prime Minister for  the trust placed in him to serve as Minister of High-Tech Industry  and added that he views this as a unique opportunity to serve the  state. The former minister expressed confidence that Davit Tadevosyan  will succeed in the post, given his knowledge and experience, and  expressed his support for this endeavor.

In turn, newly appointed Minister Davit Tadevosyan thanked the Prime  Minister for the trust placed in him and the opportunity provided. "I  assume this position fully aware that everything has a beginning and  an end. I will strive to make every effort to hand over this position  to the next minister with pride and a sense of accomplishment," the  minister said.  It should be noted that prior to his appointment as  Minister, Davit Tadevosyan headed International Radio Network CJSC, a  state-owned company under the Ministry of High- Tech Industry. The  company provides radio broadcasting and communications services, as  well as operates the state telecommunications infrastructure.
