


ArmInfo. The Anti-Corruption Court of Armenia has granted the prosecutor's office's demand to confiscate the financial assets and real estate belonging to the former governor of the Aragatsotn region, Sargis Sahakyan.
According to the supervisory authority's press service, the prosecutor's office demanded the confiscation of AMD 184 million and real estate. The agency noted that on July 24, 2026, the Anti-Corruption Court partially satisfied the prosecutor's claim against former Aragatsotn Governor Sargis Sahakyan and associated persons.
Once the judicial act enters into force, 45% of an apartment located in the capital's Arabkir administrative district, one residential house in the town of Ashtarak, as well as AMD184,222,000 are subject to confiscation in favor of the Republic of Armenia.
Recall, Sargis Sahakyan served as the governor of Aragatsotn from May 2009 to February 2016.
