Samvel Karapetyan: I enjoy respect in both Russia and Armenia, as  evidenced by  election results

ArmInfo. Businessman Samvel Karapetyan, leader of the "Strong Armenia" bloc, stated that he commands widespread respect in both Russia and Armenia. He expressed this viewpoint during an interview with reporters in  Yerevan on August 20. 

"I enjoy respect in both Russia and Armenia, as evidenced by the  country's parliamentary election results.  Let them think they  haven't earned respect even in their own homes," Karapetyan stated  when asked whether he truly enjoys the support of the Russian  authorities, as claimed by Armenian officials.

When asked to clarify whether this support exists at the grassroots  citizen level in Russia, Karapetyan responded affirmatively. "As for  the political level, you will see for yourselves how they rush to  meet [us].  Now we will see who has support at the government level,"  the politician noted.
