ArmInfo. Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan bows his head before Azerbaijani President Ilham Aliyev and preaches hatred towards Armenian citizens. Anna Grigoryan, leader of the opposition "Armenia" faction in the National Assembly, stated this at a session of the Armenian National Assembly on August 25.
"The Armenian people thirst for justice for Yerablur, the destruction of Artsakh, the destruction of Armenian statehood, and sooner or later this thirst will be quenched, both for the Armenian people and for me," she said.
According to Grigoryan, Nikol Pashinyan is a staunch opponent of Artsakh. "You hate Robert Kocharyan because he's from Artsakh, you hate him because he didn't reach an agreement with you," she said, addressing Nikol Pashinyan.
"You are a defeated leader," Grigoryan told Pashinyan, emphasizing that the opposition will do everything to restore justice. The MP recalled that from 2020 to 2023, amid talk of a new Constitution, there was no mention of the need to exclude the Declaration of Independence from it, but as soon as Aliyev raised the issue, Yerevan stirred. In an interview with Public Radio, the MP continued, Pashinyan bluntly stated that the Declaration of Independence was like a "red rag" for Baku and Ankara. "When I say you live and breathe under Aliyev's demands, that's true," said Anna Grigoryan, also recalling the prime minister's interference in the affairs of the Armenian Apostolic Church. She pointed out that the country's Constitution prohibits such interference. "It's curious that government officials previously actively participated in Armenian Apostolic Church events with the participation of the Catholicos of All Armenians. What, they weren't aware of the situation in the church back then? They knew perfectly well, they were simply waiting for orders from Baku," the opposition figure noted.
In turn, RA National Assembly Speaker Ruben Rubinyan, countering the opposition's accusations, noted that according to the indictment, Kocharyan and his family purchased a plot of land next to the Cascade for 40 million drams. They then exchanged this plot for another 2 hectares of state- owned land, which they sold for 1.74 billion drams. In other words, they made a profit of 1.70 billion drams. "Please explain to me what revenge, being a Turk, or being a traitor have to do with this," the speaker said. Addressing the members of parliament from the Armenia faction, Rubinyan stated: "Aren't you tired of using these national values as a cover for your leader's alleged theft? Are you patriots? Do you care about national values? Justice and honesty are national values, let's defend these values. Tell me, where did this sum of 1 billion 700 million drams come from? Yes, it's revenge, because justice is the people's revenge against people like you. And we will take revenge on Robert Kocharyan and other allegedly corrupt officials, we will take revenge on each of them individually. Robert Kocharyan will also pay every last drop of the money the prosecutor's office is demanding be confiscated from him as illegally acquired property, if they prove it. And I think the chances of them proving it are high," Rubinyan added.
