ArmInfo. The March 1, 2008 case has been fully resolved.
RA Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan announced this from the podium of the National Assembly of Armenia on August 25.
According to him, the case is stalled only because the country's judicial system, under the influence of a mafia-like system, is failing to give this crime an appropriate assessment. There is not a single episode in the March 1 case that has not been resolved. It is obvious to everyone, Pashinyan continued, that Robert Kocharyan gave the order to kill the people. "How people were brought in from Karabakh, how oligarchs were involved in this case, all of this has been fully revealed," Pashinyan said, adding that the country's judicial system had nothing to do with it, as it is independent. The authorities, in turn, maintained elements of ethics due to that same independence, but this led to court hearings being constantly delayed due to money received from oligarchs.
Pashinyan recalled the case against former Finance Minister Gagik Khachatryan. The prime minister asked the audience what had happened to his case.
The judge delayed the trials so much that he eventually retired. The prime minister expressed confidence that this judge now relies on more than just a state pension.
Speaking of Artsakh, Pashinyan noted that Artsakh was "a means for absorbing money" for the former. Holding the peoples of Armenia and Karabakh hostage, they plundered as much as they could in both directions.
