"Law enforcement agencies began implementing the order given yesterday from the rostrum of the National Assembly by the head of the regime early this morning, namely, the criminal prosecution of the leader of the Armenia bloc, the second president of Armenia, Robert Kocharyan, his family members, and close associates. "Hayaqve" strongly condemns the criminal practice of the head of the regime using law enforcement agencies as a blind instrument of political reprisal and calls on the law enforcement and judicial systems not to become obedient executors of the will of the political authorities and to strictly adhere to the requirements of the law in their activities. We express support for all individuals imprisoned for political reasons and demand their immediate release," the statement reads.
