


ArmInfo. Armenian Foreign Minister Ararat Mirzoyan and Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Bagher Ghalibaf, during a meeting in Tehran, emphasized the importance of interparliamentary cooperation as a key component of the political dialogue between Armenia and Iran.
According to the press service of the Armenian Foreign Ministry, the interlocutors noted with satisfaction the high level of relations between Armenia and Iran, based on mutual trust and friendship. They emphasized that relations between the two neighboring countries are strategic in nature, and consistent and open dialogue is an important guarantee of their development.
Mirzoyan and Ghalibaf touched upon current cooperation programs between the two countries in various fields. The importance of actively developing infrastructure linking Armenia and Iran and ensuring uninterrupted freight transport was emphasized.
Mirzoyan emphasized the prospects for developing the railway network as a result of the implementation of the Trump Route for International Peace and Prosperity (TRIPP) project, which will open up new opportunities for all countries in the region.
The interlocutors exchanged views on the further development of cooperation and transport connectivity as an important factor contributing to the strengthening of peace and prosperity among nations.
It is noted that the meeting was also attended by Ara Shahverdyan, head of the Iran-Armenia Friendship Group in the Iranian Majlis, and Geghard Mansuryan, deputy head.
