ArmInfo. Based on a statement from the prosecutor's office, the auction for the alienation of the Artik kindergarten building has been declared invalid. The community will be paid 12.4 million drams in compensation. This was reported by the press service of the RA Prosecutor General's Office.
Based on a statement from the Shirak Regional Prosecutor's Office, the Anti-Corruption Court partially upheld a claim filed against the Artik community and an individual to invalidate the auction for the sale of the eastern wing of the kindergarten building on September 15, 2003, and to apply the consequences of the invalidity. An investigation conducted by the Shirak Regional Prosecutor's Office, as part of its mandate to protect state (public) interests, revealed that on September 15, 2003, the east wing of a kindergarten building located at 7 Shinaraner Street in Artik, with an area of 964.20 square meters, was sold to an individual at auction for 3.7 million drams. It was also established that the archival documents that served as the basis for the auction were missing.
The Shirak Regional Prosecutor's Office filed a lawsuit with the Anti-Corruption Court demanding that the auction be declared invalid and that the consequences of the invalidity be applied. Since the return of the property in kind is impossible (it was divided into separate parts, and other addresses were indicated, where a criminal investigation by the Anti-Corruption Committee is underway), the prosecutor's office demanded that the buyer compensate the market value of the property at the time of alienation, which is 16 million 144 thousand drams.
By the decision of the Anti-Corruption Court dated October 8, 2026, the claim was partially satisfied. The court invalidated the auction organized on September 15, 2003, as well as the real estate purchase and sale agreement concluded on October 6, 2003, between the Artik Municipality and an individual.
Due to the invalidity of the agreement, the individual is obligated to pay the Artik Municipality compensation in the amount of 12 million 444 thousand drams.
