ArmInfo. Dutch Foreign Minister Tom Berendsen, accompanied by Armenian Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and International Trade Vahan Kostanyan, visited the Moon Rose greenhouse farm.
According to the Foreign Ministry's statement, during the visit, a tour of the greenhouse farm was held, during which the Dutch minister was presented with Armenia's approaches to increasing flower exports to the Dutch market.
As a reminder, Rosselkhoznadzor, the Federal Service for Veterinary and Phytosanitary Surveillance, imposed temporary restrictions on the import of floral products originating and originating in Armenia on May 22, 2026, until the completion of an inspection of greenhouse farms and the analysis of their results. Meanwhile, the main market for these products was the Russian market.
Given the difficult situation for Armenian flower growers, authorities have begun developing various state assistance programs and have attempted to establish ties with alternative markets. The Netherlands has become one such market. Following negotiations, Royal FloraHolland, the world's largest cooperative marketplace for flowers and ornamental plants, announced the opening of its market to Armenian flowers.
According to customs data, in the first half of 2026, Armenia exported 42 kg of flowers to the Netherlands with a customs value of $1,800. Customs data also indicates the export of 42,000 flowers to the Netherlands with a customs value of $4,800.
