Military equipment brought to seized building of Erebuni Police Department

 Military equipment is being brought to the building of the Patrol-Guard Service Regiment in Erebuni district of Yerevan, which has been seized by gunmen. The law-enforcers let the equipment into the territory and then again blocked the road. It is not yet clear what is going on inside. The police give no comments yet.

Earlier it was reported that the talks with the gunmen, who seized the building of Erebuni Police Department in Yerevan, failed.  The Armenian National Security Service reported that one policeman has been killed and two hostages have been freed. Deputy Chief of Armenian Police Hunan Poghosyan told reporters that the victim was Deputy Head of the Patrol-Guard Service Regiment, Colonel Artur Vanoyan. Several officers have been wounded. Hunan Poghosyan said that the armed group members only demand releasing Zhirayr Sefilyan. “But this is impossible,” he said.
