

Armenian Police have started to take out special equipment from Khorenatsi Street today in the morning.
At the same time this part of the Khorenatsi Road is still blocked and policemen continue to carry out their duty. On July 17 Daredevils of Sasoun armed group consisted of 30 people seized the police compound demanding resignation of the president and release of their jailed opposition leader Zhirayr Sefilyan. One policeman was killed and 4 were wounded as a result of seizure. On July 30 policemen informed about death of another policeman. Many of the members of the group were also wounded. Protests started in support for the group after the seizure, which led to unrest and clashes with police. During such a protest on Friday police detained 165 people. 73 people applied to medical centers.
After two weeks of revolt the rebels stated on July 31 that they are ready to surrender as the movement they have launched has become nationwide and their mission is over.
