ArmInfo. Chairman of Union of Political Analysts of Armenia (UPAA)Hmayak Hovhannisyan has faced charges for malicious evasion of execution of the court ruling. Recognizance not to leave is chosen as the measures of restrains against him.
UPAA's statement received by ArmInfo says that Hmayak Hovhannisyan is a member of the Political Council of New Armenia Front of Public Salvation was summoned to the Police on September 24 over facts of falsifications the Constitutional referendum held last December and asked to help the investigation. Hmayak Hovhannisyan was summed to the Erebuni District Police Office, though he is a resident of the Center District. At the Police Office, he was detained and searched. The Police officers did not deny that they deceived Hovhannisyan to detain him. He has been charged with malicious evasion of execution of the court ruling. He was set free on recognizance not to leave.
The prosecutor in charge of the case is politician Artashes Geghamyan's son, which proves that the case is politically motivated, UPAA says in the statement.
